Who we share data with
We use providers that process data on our behalf or that provide services embedded in the site:
| Provider | Purpose | More information |
|---|---|---|
| Hostinger | Site hosting and sending the form email | Hostinger's policy |
| Google (Analytics and Google Fonts) | Analytics with your consent; site fonts | Google's policy |
| GitHub (Giscus) | Comments and reactions, with your GitHub account | GitHub Privacy Statement |
| Email provider | Receiving and answering your requests | — |
Fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which receive your IP address in order to deliver them. The social sharing buttons are plain links: nothing from those networks loads until you click.
We will only disclose data to authorities when the law requires us to.
International transfers
Some providers process data outside your country, for example in the United States or the European Union. When data leaves the European Economic Area, providers rely on recognized safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. When data leaves Canada, we remain accountable for its protection under Canadian law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- Access your data and know how we use it.
- Correct it if it is inaccurate.
- Ask for it to be deleted.
- Object to processing or ask for it to be restricted.
- Receive it in a portable format.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.
To exercise them, write to jesus@thehouseofrouting.com. We reply within 30 days at most and may ask for some information to confirm your identity. Exercising your rights is free.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to:
- Canada: the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
- European Union / EEA and United Kingdom: your country's data protection authority.
- Other countries: the relevant data protection authority.
California residents: we do not sell or "share" personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
Legal framework
We process your data in accordance with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you visit the site from the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we also apply the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / UK GDPR).
Security
The site only runs over HTTPS, internal files are blocked from the web, the form has anti-spam protections and we do not store requests in databases. No system is 100% secure; if a breach occurs that puts you at risk, we will notify you and the authorities where the law requires it.
Children
Tenci.io is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top and, if the changes are significant, we will announce them on the site.
